Migrate WordPress Sites to 20i

Migrate WordPress Sites to 20i

Thanks to the in-house team here at 20i
you can migrate WordPress sites automatically via FTP using our
Migration Centre. Our Migration Centre will copy over both the site files and
the database the site uses, all at the click of a button. To begin the process
you’ll first need to log in to the 20i control panel. Once you’ve done so, head
to the Migration Centre section and click ‘Start New Migration’. At this point
select the migrate a WordPress site option and then select ‘Next’. Here you’ll
be required to import 4 pieces of information. Firstly we require the
hostname to which we need to connect. Secondly, you’ll need to input the name
of the domain – i.e. the domain name of the site that you’ll be migrating. Thirdly
we’ll need you to enter the FTP username for the site in question. Most often, this
is simply the name of the domain. Finally you’ll just need to input the ftp
password you normally use when connecting via FTP. Once you’ve entered
those details you can then select ‘Next’. The Migration Centre will then show you
the package that will be migrated across. If you’re happy, simply select ‘Start’ to begin the migration. For an average-sized site you
can expect the migration to take around 30 minutes or so. Once the migration
completes you’ll receive an email informing you that it is done so or you
can check the status of the migration within the Migration Centre. If you have
any questions about migrating feel free to get in touch of our support team via
the support section of your 20i account.
